Greetings from Costa Rica

Warm greetings to you all from far-away Costa Rica. (What you get to see in this picture is a white-sanded beach in our Caribbean coast.)

Hello everyone! It's a pleasure to be part of your online experience with Dr. Ahmad Amer.

Now that you have become familiar with blogs and how to post comments, I want you to do the following, so we can interact through your class blog: Now that you know that I am in a far-away land in Central America, -Costa Rica-, we (your teacher, you guys, and I) can review how you make questions.

Possible topics to ask about:
  1. Costa Rica's weather and natural resources
  2. Teens' lifestyle in Costa Rica and Central America
  3. Touristic places to visit while coming to Costa Rica
If you want to find out more information about my home country, visit the following links:

And because we are going to review how you make questions in English, you can use these sites to practice, too:

Well, good luck with your reading and online grammar exercises. And I expect to answer your questions soon.

Best regards from tropical Costa Rica,

Jonathan

  1. Hey Mr. Jonathan...
First I am really happy for joining us, because I think it will be exciting to have you in our class blog especially that you are from another country!!
Thank you for this great idea, for the websites about Costa Rica, and for the grammar websites!!!
I took a quickly look at the websites and I read that Costa Rica has some of the best Sport Fishing in the world. I think it is an enjoyable sport, I hope to have a chance to try it sometime. My question is: Do a lot of teens do this sport in Costa Rica?!!
I hope that you answer my question.
I will look closely at this amazing websites by the time. and it is my pleasure to ask you later more questions about Costa Rica!
    Thanks you again Mr. Jonathan!!!

  2. Hello, Neama Essa.

Thanks for your warm welcoming to your class blog. We also have to thank your teacher for allowing us to interact this way.

In regards to your question: "do a lot of teens practice sport fishing?", I have to say that Costa Rican teens don't practice sport fishing. It looks like this sport is for a different kind of people, but nor for teens.

Costa Rican teens would rather go to the beach in the Pacific Coast or the Caribbean. The reason for going to the beach is not just for swimming, but because many teens enjoy surfing. And we have great beaches for this particular sport.

    Thanks for your question!

  3. Dear Jonathan,

You are warmly welcome in our blog. My students are excited about it. They want to come to Costa Rica or you and your students visit us here in Israel.

    Thank you for your contribution.

  6. Hello, Eman,

thanks for your kind welcoming to your class's blog. And it is good to know that in such a far-away land from mine, Costa Rica, you get to hear about this tiny country in Central America.

I'm going to ask my students about their willingness to get in touch with you. I guess some of them can be looking forward to practicing their English with people outside Costa Rica. My students are freshmen at the university where I teach. Let me explore their interest and I will let you know what happens.

    Thanks for your question/suggestionn.
